About the bird

You've probably noticed the bird. Here's the thing — it's all I can draw. Doesn't matter what I try: a cow, a dog, a horse. They all end up looking like a bird.

So a long time ago, I gave up fighting it and perfected my bird instead. That bird now adorns the walls of bars and restaurants around the world, drawn wherever I was encouraged to sign the wall.

It's a pretty good metaphor for how I work, too. Stop forcing things that aren't working. Find what you're actually good at. Perfect that instead.
